Which States Have Had the Most Widespread Flu Problem

Are you ready for flu season? CDC flu map data reports that if you’re living in California, Minnesota, or Maryland, you might be more likely to get the flu. We’ve created a visualization showing the reported cases of flu by state to illustrate where in the country gets hit hardest by common illnesses. The flu prevalence by state varies a great deal, but remember that these are reported cases: Sometimes, a lot of people suffer in silence at home! Nevertheless, from the reported data that the CDC receives, this United States flu map from the past three years reveals that Mississippi, Arkansas, and more rural states don’t get quite as many instances as, say, Alaska. Check out the flu stats by state so far this year as well!
